Tulane University is a very real possibility for this local gem!
New Orleans native and former Holy Cross basketball stud BRANDON MOORE is leaving Arkansas and is looking for a new home. Brandon was heavily recruited by Tulane in 2007, and friends, family and coaches urged him to stay close to home to play. He signed with Arkansas and found that it was not a good fit. Arkansas wanted him to stay, but Brandon thought differently.
Brandon is a 6'9 220lb Athletic Power Forward and is down to Tulane and Florida International as his two choices for college. Florida International is obviously where Isiah Thomas is now and he uses the sentence "I know people" - when referring to his NBA credientials while trying to lure in transfers and JC recruits. That is true, and it sounds good to a young person, but the reality is - if you are good - you will not go un-noticed.
Brandon, being local has already visited Tulane several times and is familiar with the staff and players. He is said to be visiting FIU this upcoming week/weekend and a decision should soon follow.
The appeal of going to the state of Florida and the Isiah lure may be a bit too much for Mr. Moore, but if he makes the choice that many dear to him told him would be the best choice the first time around -
We may just see Brandon Moore in a Tulane Uniform for the 2010-2011 season with 3 years of eligibility remaining.
He would hopefully get a year with Kris Richard, David Booker & JC transfer Aaron Holmes. He would also have 3 years with Kendall Timmons who red-shirted this past season.
Brandon, come home - we need you here my friend. Tulane shall rise again - Be a Witness!
