Take Action!
The rain keeps coming.
I just read that practice today 9/22/09 was cut off due to rain. If it aint Bob kicking the team off the field then it is mother nature and TULANE cant allow that mean azz &$#*# to continue to plague the football team for another year - or DECADE! Take Action!
If there is anyone at Tulane from The Presidents office down to the Athletic Director that cares about the future of Tulane ATHLETICS (not just football) they will MAKE a way to get a covered/stable - hurricane proof yada yada indoor facility. If those LEADERS cant make it happen then someone that has the pull ($$,$$$,$$$) to make those LEADERS take action - MUST do it NOW.
That indoor facility needs to break ground in December right after the Tulane Bowl practices are completed or Toledo needs to move Spring practice the 1st possible date that the NCAA will allow and then the ground breaking must begin directly after that last practice to be ready for August 8 or so when Fall Camp 2010 would begin. The team only needs the main practice field during the summer. Take Action
If there is ANYONE at Tulane that cares - truly cares or that has the money and the balls to make action happen at Tulane - now is the time! We either need to make this happen for our football team - the only sport that can MAKE enough money for the entire University or fold now! Take Action!
Stop sending our team out just to sit back and watch them fail. Stop sending them out with less then our enemies and expecting results! Stop sending them out naked in a snow storm! Take Action!
Action needs to be taken by those that care - if we need to March on GIBSON like we did during the review then this is something that deserves that much thought and concern! If you dont think it is that serious - then see the W-L results the last couple decades - this facility does MORE than just keep the rain away - it shows COMMITMENT! - Take Action
We can live without our own stadium, thats a dream but we all know deep down if we win, the Dome is more then adequate and is world class... if we win for 20 years then we wont have to ask for stadium - someone with the Cash will hand it to us because Tulane will be of value to them to market........
Someone on that campus must realize that success in football this day in age can drive up your academics and Scholar recruiting and you will get more people making donations than you could dream of. Dorms will be built, academic centers improved, expanded and renovated. Take Action!
Everyone knows (even if it is deep down) that S.C. wants to have some legacy he leaves - thats his personality - well if you want to leave something - how about allowing Tulane to be what it is supposed to be - in the top 5-10 academic/athletic institutions in the country.... S.C. - its time - Take Action!
A great academic school
in the deep south deserves this -
that is what TULANE once was
at its proudest moments!
Someone who cares needs to take action for this football team and University... and realize that it is about much more then just football in the end.
LEADERS - Time to take action!

How much Green do you Bleed!
How long does someone stranded on an Island keep yelling from from the mountain tops for "help, can anybody hear me - is anybody out there" before they give up and just realize they are stuck alone - coming to terms with - it is what it is?
Well, many Tulane fans have been feeling that way years, even decades. It seems as though no matter how many people are yelling (making phone calls, sending letters, stop sending in donations, stop coming to sporting events, etc...) from their own relative mountain top - there is no one out there in a suit listening.
If someone is listening, they must be light years away because the response time to the cry for help is void.
We cant be in the heads of some of the Tulane Leaders - but when there is silence, there is usually trouble.
In a world that is driven by main-stream media, the internet and act your fingers information with immediate satisfaction - Tulane the University is forcing athletics to still look for a pay phone to make a call and call 411 for information rather then using worldwideweb. It is like comparing an Army of Cavemen going to battle with a modern day brilliant military strategist with unlimited technology and soldiers.
It seems as if our leaders are sending our boys out to square off -----in a Fixed Fight....

Tulane Football...
Shooting blanks so far.....
You have to be impressed with
Kemp - break down the numbers - his 2nd half was great - no time
WR play - two Seniors stepping up big for this team
The team - didnt lay down and let it get out of control - easily could have laid an egg in the 2nd half
DEF overall - missing preseason 2 starting Dlinemen, starting LB/S/Nickle in Sonnier and the play of some Freshmen
You have to be worried about...
O-Line ----- OUCH!
O-Line -----OUCH!
Expect Changes and opportunity this week in practice or at the BYE WEEK

The Perfect Press for Tulane Football
Quote taken from a poster on YOGWF (Tulane forum) that seems to be brilliant and a possible parent of a student-athlete.
The conversation is about why Tulane is getting so many early verbal commits....

They recruit a lot of good players. There is only so much room.
Because they are in on a bunch of good players, you've got to commit early or
you won't be a part of Tulane's class. Especially when you know they want 1 or 2
from a particular position.
It is not easy to have the opportunity to receive:
1) a great academic opportunity
2) great atmosphere and place to go to school
3) a super athletics staff to develp you
4) football opportunity-conference that has 6 bowl tie-ins,
opportunity to play anybody, anywhere, in the dome, on ESPN
5) great relationships in the locker room with your future
team-mates
6) not getting usurped by junior-college transfers in to the
program
7) Play in a city where all your homies want to come and see you
play
Can only take about 19 or 20 this year-they better get in
quick."

Updates please
http://www.tulanegreenwave.com/
If you go here - as of today and look at the Fogelman Pic of Tulane Volleyball on the lead storys - the picture is a GREAT shot - the only things that nags me is that the picture is from when how long ago??? I mean - look at the players - those arent current players. Betsy Becker is the head coach in this pic -
Great Picture - but are you telling me we dont have any updated shots with more of the current crew in it - Just me nagging!
