I HOPE I MISUNDERSTOOD SOMETHING ALONG THE WAY.

If i am right, then we got bigger issues....

Word on the street is that Tulane has (extended the contract/renewed/decidedto keep, whatever) for the Modular Housing located by Tennis Courts/Reily Student Rec Center for 2 more years. This site is the location where the multi-plex sports facility for Tulane Athletics programs was to be. It would have significantly raised the level and quality of Tulane Mens/Women basketball and Volleyball.

The last rumor out there was that next summer 2010 was to be the start of construction on that facility with completion a year or so later. Now, if this holds true - that date gets pushed back to at minimum to the summer of 2011 and completion being in 2012 or longer....

The contract was renewed supposedly b/c Tulane Athletics could not/ did not raise enough money to get the project advanced enough so the University pulled the trigger to extend the MOD housing.

Can the date be changed back if someone gives athletics a blank check???? I dont know, but i do know that waiting another 3 years or more for something that is already many years too late is NOT good. I would assume that if this is getting pushed back, that the Fogelman reconstruction or deconstruction can not occur.

TULANE - eventually - when you are playing with a water-gun while everyone else has live ammo - you either have to surrender, meet your maker or change.

What's it gonna be??

Funny how things come around

This was something I posted June 25, 2009 and recently some Tulane Greenbackers had an issue with the same place. Here is what I wrote, fool me once, fool me twice

You know what makes me want to PUKE
when Uptown bars that are known to be TULANE BARS have a LSU CWS party! I mean, i know people need to make money during the summer and I know when you are running a business - in this economy - all money is just about good money!

But there is just something about your local Bar, located a couple blocks off of campus - which is known to be the Haven of Tulane Athletics, especially baseball players and fans - is hosting a huge LSU party. Fans yelling degrading things about Tulane ---

I know the world I have chosen to live in, this world of being a Tulane fan in a State that 5 of 10 people would pick LSU sports over the Saints and Hornets. Being in an area of the State that 9 of 10 folks would pick LSU sports.... I know I have chosen this world - and I am DAMN PROUD of my choice - but it is so crazy disgusting it makes me sick sometimes.

I have no problem with my Tulane Bar located at the corner of Hillary and Maple, trying to get $$$$ especially during the summer time when Tulane students go North, and LSU kids come SEast -

But it still makes me want to rip my guts out! If it aint Bob kicking the team off the field then it is mother nature and TULANE cant allow that mean azz &$#*# to continue to plague the football team for another year - or DECADE! Take Action!

If there is anyone at Tulane from The Presidents office down to the Athletic Director that cares about the future of Tulane ATHLETICS (not just football) they will MAKE a way to get a covered/stable - hurricane proof yada yada indoor facility. If those LEADERS cant make it happen then someone that has the pull ($$,$$$,$$$) to make those LEADERS take action - MUST do it NOW.

That indoor facility needs to break ground in December right after the Tulane Bowl practices are completed or Toledo needs to move Spring practice the 1st possible date that the NCAA will allow and then the ground breaking must begin directly after that last practice to be ready for August 8 or so when Fall Camp 2010 would begin. The team only needs the main practice field during the summer. Take Action

If there is ANYONE at Tulane that cares - truly cares or that has the money and the balls to make action happen at Tulane - now is the time! We either need to make this happen for our football team - the only sport that can MAKE enough money for the entire University or fold now! Take Action!

Stop sending our team out just to sit back and watch them fail. Stop sending them out with less then our enemies and expecting results! Stop sending them out naked in a snow storm! Take Action!

Action needs to be taken by those that care - if we need to March on GIBSON like we did during the review then this is something that deserves that much thought and concern! If you dont think it is that serious - then see the W-L results the last couple decades - this facility does MORE than just keep the rain away - it shows COMMITMENT! - Take Action

We can live without our own stadium, thats a dream but we all know deep down if we win, the Dome is more then adequate and is world class... if we win for 20 years then we wont have to ask for stadium - someone with the Cash will hand it to us because Tulane will be of value to them to market........

Someone on that campus must realize that success in football this day in age can drive up your academics and Scholar recruiting and you will get more people making donations than you could dream of. Dorms will be built, academic centers improved, expanded and renovated. Take Action!

Everyone knows (even if it is deep down) that S.C. wants to have some legacy he leaves - thats his personality - well if you want to leave something - how about allowing Tulane to be what it is supposed to be - in the top 5-10 academic/athletic institutions in the country.... McKnight from Curtis. The other is bigger than McKnight from my sources & WaveReport. He is the Big Fish in the Pond for Tulane.
There was also a linemen reported by the Wavereport, anyone can view the picture of him and it is free info that he is a linemen from Baton Rouge.

EDIT- 3:00pm - potentially more than one hoops recruit will be in town within the next couple days - potentially...

That is all I can tell you for now. I will wait a bit longer with some of the info I have that I am sure I am in the minority on. I also am sure the other people that report on Tulane will release some info very soon. This is a free blog and I dont really gain anything from it other than being able to write about what I love and feel for Tulane - so sometimes i wont break news first for the sake of the FANHOOD contest - I will wait until someone else breaks it and then respond to it. But not always...

When it comes to facilities I didnt feel my news would be hurtful since it was public information as someone stated - in the School Newspaper. Plus - it was made clear that the facility news could swing depending on money issues.

Thanks for the support and the questions...

You know what makes me want to PUKE

when Uptown bars that are known to be TULANE BARS have a LSU CWS party! Fans yelling degrading things about Tulane ---

I know the world I have chosen to live in, this world of being a Tulane fan in a State that 5 of 10 people would pick LSU sports over the Saints and Hornets. In the end, people are all different and think differently. What one person views as productive and positve someone else will view as negative and destructive. I really didnt think anything I posted was negative, but you post things people dont want to hear - you are made into the goat so people dont have to look at the real issues. My problem with US FANS, is that a lot of us want to pull out our private sticks and see who has the biggest FANHOOD!

I go to more games so I have more rights
I live further away and travel to a lot of games so I have more rights
I know the VIP's and get first hand info so I am the best
and the biggest one of all
I give XXX,XXX amount of money so I should be King and everything I say is Biblical!

Look - rank you fanhood in inches or miles - anyone who supports Tulane is special. To say you are a fan of Michigan or USC or LSU is easy and doesnt require any effort or dedication.
To support Tulane, to care about the little things going on - to "waste" your time on forums or blogs or wearing a hat or shirt takes mental toughness and heart. Kind of like the mental toughness it takes to punt on 3rd down knowing you will seal your fate and the fate of 10 other coaches by doing so. Ok, bad example.....

Its borderline insanity - some call it stupidity. Call me the most insane, dumbest freggin person on the planet if thats the case - I LOVE TULANE ATHLETICS!

Anger

I sense some anger out there, well I never said anything was factual, but it was what i here from people around Tulane University. The people I know, or people that know people I know are part of the bigger picture at Tulane, not just athletics. If you only get your sources from someone in athletics, then they may not be able to tell you anything or they may just not know. It is not anyones fault. People need to realize that the athletic dept has to do what Gibson Hall and the Board says, not the other way around - this aint the upriver school or other schools that have their funding for all areas driven by athletic success.

My sources are some of the same people who pass on info to the portrayed "all knowing" on some of the Forums. My sources are some people on other forums. My sources are people that work at Tulane or with Tulane in some way. My sources are sometimes people who are spouses of people at Tulane.

The #1 issue is this, you cant be mad at me.... i have not caused decades of losing and unkept promises at the place I Love. All I did was state that I heard from more than 1 person that Tulane has or may have needed to keep the FEMA housing for another year. This should be no surprise since Tulane needs 100% funding in hand before starting a project. It makes perfect sense for the University to keep it another year rather than tearing it down before the 100% is in place. I hope it gets done SOON! Tear that crap down!

I think an insider on YOGWF said that Tulane was supposed to start re-modeling OR building new dorms on campus in the upcoming year(s), so maybe extending the FEMA housing has something to do with this also - so it benefits the University and Athletics to have more time to get $$$$ in hand.

Anyway, the news is just news - not enough to go on a witch hunt - if you were upset, I am sorry. If you dont like me, dont read me... I can blog here just to read it myself - to get things off of my mind, off of my chest.

It is an UNOFFICIAL Tulane Athletics blog - meaning I can say what I want, it is my opinion and my thoughts. I will try and keep Tulane's best interest in heart when I blog, but if I feel something should be public - I will say it. If I feel there the PEOPLE need to know, they will know! I dont have a Cone of Silence but I will try and use caution.
I am no different than if I post on YOGWF, WaveReport, NOLA Blogs, Scout Blogs....etc.

Those that read here have the choice to bring attention to what is blogged...... If you feel that something is good news, pass it on. If it is bad news - keep it quiet. If it is so bad that you can not live with it, COMMENT on the article and if I see your point I may take it down. If you just dont like me and want to knit-pic all that I do - then go cry somewhere else and censor other folks.

Happy Fathers Day - God Bless

Facility News

EDIT - Dont get caught up on the terminology - it is not about if tulane extended or has a contract, in fact they may own the trailors/MODS, the POINT is - was there an extension by the University due to the NEED for HOUSING on campus and/or to give the AthDept more time???

TRUST ME, I HOPE I AM WRONG.

I would suspect that Coach Dave Dickerson if he is able to get the ball club to .500 or higher next season will be on the 1st train out of town with this delay- yet again. I dont blame him. I mean, he would have left anyway since he is not a Southern Man (LA, MS, AL) south carolina is different my frieends! - but he will indeed seek to leave sooner rather than later.

I think this also brings in the discussion of how much longer Coach Lisa Stockton will remain at Tulane. Her recruiting is impacted just as much as Dickerson an dlets face it, each year that goes by those banners up in Fogelman get older and older on the Women's side.... We used to be a feared program nationally, now we cant scare a mouse in CUSA.

TULANE - eventually - when you are playing with a water-gun while everyone else has live ammo - you either have to surrender, meet your maker or change sides.

What's it gonna be??

Are we still talking hoops?

Never thought we would still be talking hoops at this time of year but after hearing from a couple HS coaches, they say that we really missed out on getting that kid that left us hanging and going to Houston. They said they felt we reached for the big kid we signed, but that they understood we were thin on the front line and had to do something. The coach said - anything can happen when you work hard, and that is exactly what the post player better do b/c he is not ready for the next level to help Tulane. Through the grapevine we also heard that the 7-footer we were interested in might not be worth the trouble - meaning - unless he works 10x's as hard as the kid we signed - it would be a wasted scholarship.

Both of these kids are big, but they were dominated by smaller guys at the HS level so what do you expect at the collegiate level?

They did say and express that Dickerson is making ground locally with recruits - b/c most basketball players think NBA 1st - even if they suck! And at TULANE we can damn near promise that you will crack the starting line-up so you can play early and often to get your name out there. The fact that Tulane has done better the past couple years and has had some success in the CUSA tourney has helped. The best selling point for Tulane is that you can come in and play early and dominate in this conference on an Individual level.... lets hope that it works out that way with PLENTY of local/regional talent coming out next year!

These are just thoughts from folks who have seen these guys play in person- they hope it wokrs out for Tulane b/c you never know what hard work will Equal-- like say - Linton Johnson his last 2 years in college and in the NBA...... We need the big guy to be ready now, but if he ends up having a JR and SR year like Johnson - We should take it!

The folks I heard from also said that they are VERY excited about the JC transfer we got. They said the kid is amazing and that we will be watching a Scoring Clinic the next two years! Obviously stars are the opinions of mostly unathletic sports writers and unathletic talent evaluators - but we all read it, buy it and go nuts if we supposedly sign a highly ranked kid. The same way we base our thoughts of Rivals stars is the same as when we look at movie critics, theatre critics, food critics, hotel critics and so on. So get over it - i guess? The only thing I didnt do on here that you can look up at your hearts content(or maybe I will do it later) is you can go look up the Previous Years record for some of the classes, to see whether or type='text'>Football Thoughts

Recruiting, what can you do/control?
We may get 1 or 2 here and there that pick Tulane over some middle of the pack programs, but we are a couple years of WINNING away from getting 2-4 kids per year from upper-middle class schools and we are 6-10 years of WINNING(bowl games)each year away from getting 4-6 kids each year from Top 25 programs. We need to win, win win win win win for more than a decade and beat LSU to get on the same recruiting level(meaning each year we battle for kids -and we get 6-10 high profile/qualified kids!).

Over the next 15 years, we need to go to 12 bowl games, then we can begin to battle with LSU, BAMA and Texas for kids-. That means each year, not a fluke kid every now and then. To compete with the big boys in our region, we need to do this. Then you already at that point have Arkansas, Georgia, Miss is your grasp and have Florida from Talla. to Orlando in your grasp!

The next 15 years, 12 bowl games at least.
Strategically, you figure we will 1 or 2 of these teams on our schedule each year. So you will have a minimum of 15 opportunities.
Over the next 15 years - we need to SCHEDULE AND have 12-15 wins vs. LSU, BAMA, TEXAS, GEORGIA, G-TECH, OLE MISS, ARKANSAS, TX A&M, TCU, FSU, FLORIDA, TENN, SOUTH CAROLINA, UNC, MIAMI, TX TECH, LOUISVILLE, RUTGERS, SOUTH FLORIDA, VANDY, STANFORD, DUKE, NOTRE DAME, AUBURN and go to and beat either BYU, UTAH, BOISE St. or FRESNO St........... EDIT - ADD BAYLOR

Moore Hoops

Just as suspected, and great reporting by the Tulane Rivals network @ TheWaveReport, Brandon Moore is leaning towards FIU b/c just like Kenny Cain of John Curtis - He just wants to get away from NOLA. Who knows why and it doesnt matter, if the kid wants to get away from here for whatever reason - that is his choice. Can we use him - hell yes we can!

We will see what takes place in the next 5-10 days. I know there are a lot of local kids coming up for next years recruiting process - but is Tulane in position to hold a scholarship for yet another year based on the Hope that we land a kid next year? We havent been able to fill scholarships in hoops - so we dont have the luxury really. If we dont get Moore or another 6'9 or above guy - We better stay 100% healthy next year or we will get pounded next year at the PF/C position.

Good Luck Coach D.D.

Mac Truck

Randomly came across a person close to Trent Mackey (LB transfer from Duke, original Tulane verbal)
He said that he and the family were very surprised at T-Macz choice to go to Duke after growing up in Tulane camps and wanting to go to Tulane. Said Duke came in last minute and T-Mac fell for the Duke basketball lure more than anything. Said D"Duke isnt all it is cranked up to be" and that T-Mac almost immediately realized that Duke was not the place for him. He said that "this is what this time in life is for, you want to get out on your own, make your own choices - you live(hopefully) and you learn" He said that this experience has only made T-Mac work even harder now - even though it sucks having to sit out a year....

Seems like a big Tulane supporting family that is very excited to come to games next season from S.west to S.east La.... Expect to see more of the Mackey family tree interested in Tulane in the future

Football talk - Style of Coaching/strategy

I think all this talk about the DEF and what will be run, what type and the talk about the OFF and the type yada yada is really just pifffff
Coaches have a - say - specialty - a specific system they are comfortable with - and that is their base - where they start from ..... but tell me a coach at any level that plays 10 games or more - against the same OFF or same DEF - You cant................
Does it matter if the D-coord likes a 4-3, 3-4, 1-3-5-2? In the case of Brandon Moore - from what I hear, he is a good ball player with size, but he prefers and plays more outside than he does inside - and Brandon is believed to be thinking heavily on that. Of Course Tulane does NOT need another person on the outside on what will be a guard heavy team. So using the last scholly on a big man that does not play big may not be wise. If we dont get Brandon, it may be b/c we dont feel he is the right fit, not b/c the staff didnt try hard enough.

I also think that Isiah will tell a kid "whatever he wants to hear" to get them to campus - but has no intentions of being held to his word. Isiah is most likely "over-recruiting", and it will come back to bite him with unhappy kids.

another thing is this, Brandon is said to have some, lets say -spunk to his attitude. Tulane likes him, liked him a lot more a year ago then they do now - and his attitude may play a role in how much the Wave really want him. FIU is the leader at about a 60-40 ratio - for Brandon. For others in his life - they are about 80-20 Tulane.

Does Brandon want to come to Tulane, and better yet - does Tulane want Brandon? Do the hoops skills out weigh the personality faults? Is it just a young man being a young man - cocky or confident in his skills?
We know Tulane may Need him, but can the youngster show some maturity to his came while making noise for the local crowd...... We will hear soon enough!

**Breaking Hoops News**

Tulane University is a very real possibility for this local gem!
New Orleans native and former Holy Cross basketball stud BRANDON MOORE is leaving Arkansas and is looking for a new home. Brandon was heavily recruited by Tulane in 2007, and friends, family and coaches urged him to stay close to home to play. He signed with Arkansas and found that it was not a good fit. Arkansas wanted him to stay, but Brandon thought differently.

Brandon is a 6'9 220lb Athletic Power Forward and is down to Tulane and Florida International as his two choices for college. Florida International is obviously where Isiah Thomas is now and he uses the sentence "I know people" - when referring to his NBA credientials while trying to lure in transfers and JC recruits. That is true, and it sounds good to a young person, but the reality is - if you are good - you will not go un-noticed.

Brandon, being local has already visited Tulane several times and is familiar with the staff and players. He is said to be visiting FIU this upcoming week/weekend and a decision should soon follow.
The appeal of going to the state of Florida and the Isiah lure may be a bit too much for Mr. Moore, but if he makes the choice that many dear to him told him would be the best choice the first time around -
We may just see Brandon Moore in a Tulane Uniform for the 2010-2011 season with 3 years of eligibility remaining.
He would hopefully get a year with Kris Richard, David Booker & JC transfer Aaron Holmes. He would also have 3 years with Kendall Timmons who red-shirted this past season.

Brandon, come home - we need you here my friend. Someone made a post about baseball and the coaching staff.
They stated their thought that Coach Jones would retire and become the next Tulane AD and that Chad Sutter would be the next baseball HC. -
This got me thinking about other sports and the what ifs' - although I dont think any of this will happen soon - I do agree that when RJ retires, he will want to have his hand in running an Athletic Dept.

These are only the WHAT IF worst case, things dont get better as they seem scenarios---
Football - If CBT retire or leaves in the next 1-3 years - Tulane will promote Greg Davis to head Coach - he is currently our RB coach. He then will finally hire Terrence Jones to come back and coach at Tulane as well as hire former Greenie Nelson Stewart. He is currently the HC at Newman.

Mens hoops 1-3 years -Tulane will look to its past and either hire Perry Clark(if he is not too old) or Ron Everhart. I think if its not one of these two, then they hire as HC and that person brings in a former player at Tulane.. I can see Linton Johnson being a good coach along with keeping Kim Leiws and adding Hot Rod!.. God Forbid they bring back Finney!

Womens Hoops - 1-3 years - If we dont get back to where we were - then Tulane will look at bringing in one of the former Asst. we had back in the late 90's. We have one right across the street at Loyola! I dont mean the player that we signed was poop, i think he will be what we really need in the all guard offense we will have - a rebounder and defender. The thundering sound of poop was the way we got played by another kid who was set to sign with us in the early period and didnt, and then held out to sign with a hoops juggernaut - !! ok not really - it was HOUSTON!! if we would have lost him to Prarie View it would have been better than losing him to a CUSA foe that backdoored us for him!

I think we will be better than people think next year - as long as our big men stay healthy.

Watch out for Timmons & Holmes - these two are most likely the two best pure hoops athletes we have had here in a decade or more!

TU NCAA hopes just went crashing down?

Did last nights baseball performance or *cough* CHOKE *cough* cost the Greenies a post season at large bid?

They were dominated by a UNO team that played with a lot of emotion not knowing with 100% confidence if it would be the last time they ever played this cross-town rivalry. Hornets owner pretends as if he cares but in the end it is about ticket sales and suite sales at the N.O. ARENA (cant blame him really- I just hope he backs Tulane the same way if our debacle rears its ugly head again!)

Should we have won? YES -
was it likely that we would pull the sweep of the series - NOPE!
We couldnt even sweep leMOYNE! the only team we swept was Northen Colorado and they are a mere 12-33 ! and in a conference that does not have BASEBALL!!!!!!!!!! & has a team ERA of 10.56!

So- did they choke - well, maybe but series sweeps even not all in one weekend are hard to come by. We took 2 of 3 and that is what you want from a series.

What did you really expect this year, seriously? My hopes and wishful thinking was high, but my expectations(reality without green goggles) for this season was just a little higher than where we are right now - I at least thought we would do better in CUSA standings, but it aint over til its over! Our city is a city that everyday you can find something else to love about it if you get out to see it. Our University is not too big and not too small - it's just right! The problems lie in the whether people feel safe in the city, most(90%) of the horrible crimes do not happen around Tulane University - The immediate area around the University is mostly an area of burglaries and minor assaults, which in my opinion is not a problem here, but in any medium to large city you will find that. There are just bad people out there and preying on a college campus area is just - "normal". Tulane is expected to begin a lighting project all around campus this summer to improve visibility in the immediate area and also installing security cameras.
Good Job Tulane!

No matter how much Tulane fans want to get past the Review and Katrina (or any hurricane now) - we cant! Not because we don't want to but because our competition will use it against us for 10 more years and we cant pretend that they wont, so that makes it relevant and current unfortunately.
Have we moved on and are we better - YES! If the University didn't want athletics of any sport around, Katrina was the perfect opportunity to make the move. They didn't, so as hard as it may be sometimes to understand the Administrations choice or lack of action - They didn't get rid of Athletics so something must be in the works. The Tulane Board and President Cowen want this place to be up there with the Dukes, Stanfords and now Vanderbilt's- be the best in academics and athletics.

Wave Hoops 2/14

As usual the Greenwave men and women can not show any level of staying consistent. The Greenwave are up and down more than watching animals on the "discovery channel!"

Both teams have to fight a battle in recruiting.

Many Wave fans give D.Dickerson a lot of grief due to his inability to land an impact recruit so far in his tenure but over the last 5 years the Women's' hoops team has taken a turn away from the once dominate and top 40 program they were for a decade.

The guys that have been D. Dickersons best players were the product of another coach. Dickerson was supposed to be known for his recruiting more than his X's and O's but it looks to be the opposite, at least on the defensive side of the ball. The team scraps and fights and I hate losing but I would rather have a team that fights while going down rather than say - A football team the last year or so in the C. Scelfo era that seemed to not even show up or care. I'm just saying - ya know? Seems like we need to get S. Finney in here to recruit and let D. Dickerson do the coaching?
D. Dickerson has a solid group of guards coming back and as long as they can improve from 3pt range and free throws(ouch!) - we should be OK. The problem is at the Bigs(C,PF) position. R. Louisme is playing like a man possessed this year but he is about all we have there. A. McQueen is playing well too but lets be honest, this is basketball and you cant win many games with 2 PF playing the C position and ONLY having 2 PF on the team at that. We could sign the top guard in the country and it wouldn't matter if we don't get a BIG SIGNED! It will be tough, hoops recruiting is very hard compared to a decade ago or more & Fogelman Arena is only getting older and older while other schools we are competing against have at the least released images of new arenas or facilities they are building if they have not already built them.
Tulane is supposedly getting a practice facility that may resemble the facility SMU recently built and then going to get some major renovations to Fogelman Arena making the outside look the same but the inside a brand new atmosphere! - Well Tulane fans are dying while waiting and not because of holding their breath - its just been that long since these types of promises have gone unfulfilled.

L. Stockton, the women's coach has a nice core of young players starting with finally getting what I feel is a solid Big in the middle with Freshmen B. Benzio. She has the most potential at that position since T. McKiver, B. Farris and J. Burse. I am not putting her up there yet - but she is good enough if she keeps working and stays in shape. B. Lindsey is the best player right now and she is only a RS SO. So we have 2 really good ladies in the post for at least 2 more years and if you factor in a transfer guard from TCU (D. Nunn) then we are good to go! I have heard from reports at Tulane and TCU that she is tenacious, scrappy and one hell of a ball player. Unlike Men's' hoops transfer D. Booker(UNC-Char), D. Nunn is not expected to be a bust or shall I say she is not expected to fall short on expectations. Supplement that with an already young roster and we are looking good for the future. Especially with the signings of O. Grayson & B. McDonald incoming next year.

All in all, we are not down and out in Men's' hoops but we better get a bit more competitive faster & in Women's' hoops I will give about 2 more seasons before I consider them at the same level as the men's team.

Football - Ole Miss & Tulane renew Rivalry!

It was announced today that Tulane and Ole Miss will renew a rivalry that began in 1893. It is the first football game between the two teams in 9 years and the 70th overall. They will play the 1st game in 2010 in New Orleans and the Rebels come again to New Orleans in 2016. The Greenies will travel to Oxford in 2012 & 2017.

This is a huge landing for Tulane as Ole Miss looks to be taking the turn toward a consistent run atop the upper tier of SEC schools after this past 2008 season.

There is no doubt that the Tulane administration felt the need to get something done with top level competition in the region with the every growing deceitfulness and untrustworthy athletic departments of LSU to the West and Alabama to the East.

This was a great job by anyone involved to get this done now so going into the future, recruiting will be made just a little more easier with games vs. LSU, Alabama, BYU, Ole Miss and Ga. Tech all on tap!

Lets just make sure we get our share of the games at HOME(and play well/win while we are home) to spark local interest!

LSU is doing its best to wiggle every game from the Greenies and move them to Baton Rouge just before they bail on a contract and Alabama has already backed out of one game next year with Tulane(replaced with BYU) so they can go "make that money" and play Va. Tech in Atlanta.

My First Post

Hello Tulane Greenwave fans, welcome to the unofficial blog of Tulane Athletics. I am a Tulane fan of all sports and I will post my thoughts on many Tulane Athletics games, players, coaches, scheduling, injuries and other issues in Tulane Athletics - nothing is off limits but I will attempt (with no promises) to remain tasteful in my thoughts. I will also dive into other issues surrounding the University or the New Orleans area if the mood strikes.
